Berlin (dpa/th) - Brown bear Max died in Worbis Bear Park. He had had health problems for a few weeks and was therefore taken to the infirmary for treatment, the park said. He died on Wednesday night. A few years ago he had a skin disease.
In 1992 Max was born in Bern's Bärengraben in Switzerland. According to the park, it was given to a tourist restaurant the following year. There he lived in a small concrete pit. In 2000 he came to the Alternative Bear Park Worbis in Thuringia together with Emma the brown bear.
