Waltershausen (dpa/th) - A truck with six brand-new electric cars crashed on Autobahn 4 Dresden-Eisenach on Friday. The car transporter came off the road between Waltershausen and Sättelstädt in the morning for reasons that have not yet been clarified, broke through the guardrail and slid down a small slope, according to the highway police.

The transporter remained overturned on the adjacent field. The 28-year-old driver suffered minor injuries. In the accident, the electric cars fell from the van. The police estimated the property damage at 400,000 euros. The salvage work should continue until late afternoon. Traffic was still backed up for three kilometers on Friday afternoon.
