Erfurt (dpa/th) - The Erfurt Chamber of Crafts is expanding its help for Ukrainian war refugees. In order to support the quick and unbureaucratic integration into the labor market in northern and central Thuringia, an initial consultation check will be offered immediately, the chamber announced on Monday. During the short consultation, information on professional qualifications, work experience and language skills would be recorded. In this way, refugees received an initial assessment for a comparable German training occupation.
According to the chamber, most skilled trades are non-regulated professions. Ukrainian refugees could therefore take up gainful employment in these professions even without formal professional recognition. In regulated professions such as the health sector, on the other hand, a recognition procedure must be applied for.
