Thuringia: Despite cost pressure: Rudolstadt Festival keeps prices stable

Rudolstadt (dpa/th) - According to its own statements, the largest festival for world music in Rudolstadt in East Thuringia wants to forego price increases next year. The Rudolstadt Festival is also clearly feeling the increasing cost pressure in the event industry, said Festival Director Petra Rottschalk on Thursday. "But we only had to make the tickets more expensive last summer after the long pandemic break, which was painful for many of our visitors."

In 2023, the long-term tickets should also cost 120 euros. Combination tickets including overnight stays in a tent or caravan site are still available for 150 euros. Advance ticket sales for the next festival begin in February.

According to the information, more than 300 events with artists from around 40 countries are planned from July 6th to 9th. These include the Grammy-nominated clarinetist from New York, David Krakauer, the Corsican a cappella ensemble A Filetta and the musician Ana Carla Maza, who has been confirmed as the first artist for the country focus on Cuba.
