Thuringia: drunk cyclist bites police officer

Meiningen (dpa/th) - According to the police, an officer in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district was bitten on the hand by a drunk cyclist. The 42-year-old did not put up with a traffic check in Meiningen, the police said on Tuesday morning. A breath alcohol test showed 2 per thousand. The cyclist was then taken to the nearest police station on Monday afternoon. Since the 42-year-old did not calm down and rioted in a cell, the woman was transferred to a psychiatric ward.
