Büttstedt (dpa/th) - A drunk fell almost two meters deep into a pit in Büttstedt (Eichsfeld district) and was seriously injured. The 53-year-old leaned against a construction fence on Wednesday afternoon and lost his balance, the police said. The man was taken to a hospital. The police are investigating exactly how the accident happened. The security of the construction site is also being examined. An alcohol test revealed 2.7 parts per thousand breath alcohol.
