Erfurt (dpa/th) - A three-person household in a single-family house has the third-lowest ancillary living costs in Erfurt compared to the other state capitals in Germany. This is the result of an investigation by the Thuringian Taxpayers' Association, which was published on Tuesday. With 1547 euros in 2022, Erfurt is one of the cheapest cities and ranks 3rd behind Mainz and Schwerin. The taxpayers' association emphasized that only in Erfurt had the ancillary housing costs fallen. Everywhere else they went up.
The taxpayers' association determined how the costs for drinking water, the fees for waste water, waste water and rain water, the property tax and the broadcasting fee are reflected in the ancillary housing costs. With total costs of 1492 euros in 2022, Mainz is the cheapest, while Berlin (West) is the most expensive with 2291.50 euros in the same year.
