Thuringia: FDP wants the end of the obligation to isolate Corona

Erfurt (dpa/th) - The FDP in the Thuringian state parliament has called on red-red-green to work with the federal government to end the obligation to isolate people infected with corona. Thuringia should join a corresponding initiative by Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse and Schleswig-Holstein, the FDP group demanded on Wednesday in Erfurt.

In a joint letter, the four states asked Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (SPD) to ensure that the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) changed the rules quickly. However, Lauterbach had already rejected the proposal. Currently, infected people have to be isolated at least five days after the positive test result, even without symptoms.

Corona has lost its horror, so the disease should be treated like other infections, the liberals argued. Anyone who really shows symptoms should stay at home. In all other cases, wearing an FFP2 mask is sufficient from the point of view of the FDP.
