Thuringia: Fire at the recycling plant: 500 tons of waste on fire

Dorndorf (dpa/th) - Around 500 tons of garbage caught fire in a recycling plant in the Wartburg district. According to the police, the fire broke out on Wednesday evening around 9 p.m. in the Dorndorf district of the Krayenberg community. Nobody got hurt. No buildings were damaged either. According to initial estimates, the damage is around 50,000 euros. The police initially did not assume it was arson. The extinguishing work was still ongoing late in the evening.
