Grub (dpa/th) - Two half-timbered houses in Grub (Hildburghausen district) went up in flames on Thursday evening for reasons that are still unclear. This resulted in property damage of 80,000 euros, as the police announced on Friday. A house that was uninhabited was almost completely destroyed. The 37-year-old resident of the other, only slightly damaged house was taken to a hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. He was able to leave this but a little later. The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
