Thuringia: Head of the Greens in the state parliament confirmed in office

Leinefelde-Worbis (dpa/th) - The Greens parliamentary group has confirmed its chairwoman Astrid Rothe-Beinlich in office. Together with the 48-year-old, the parliamentary manager Madeleine Henfling was re-elected on Monday, as the parliamentary group announced at the beginning of a closed conference in Leinefelde-Worbis (Eichsfeldkreis). Both were confirmed unanimously, it said. The Greens have five members in the Thuringian state parliament and are part of the governing coalition with the left and the SPD. During the closed meeting, the parliamentary group wants to deal with the upcoming negotiations for the next state budget, among other things. The results are to be presented on Wednesday.
