Thuringia: Koch provides man with theft and is injured

Jena (dpa/th) - A cook caught a man stealing in Jena and was injured. As the police said on Tuesday, the 33-year-old chef had seen an unidentified man in the delivery entrance of a restaurant trying to steal groceries. When the cook then tried to hold the 31-year-old, he was reportedly injured in the head with a glass bottle. The alarmed police officers arrested the 31-year-old perpetrator after the incident early Monday evening. He is now under investigation. According to the police, it is unclear how serious the injuries to the 33-year-old were.
