Jena (dpa/th) - With around 63,000 visitors and ten sold-out events, the 30th Kulturarena Jena came to an end on Sunday. The events and concerts by Les Yeux d'la Tête, Von Wegen Lisbeth, Jan Delay, Helge Schneider, Danger Dan, Meute and Sportfreunde Stiller met with particular interest from the public, as the organizers announced. The next arena is scheduled from July 20th to August 27th, 2023.
Because of Corona, the Kulturarena 2020 had not taken place for the first time since 1992; last year there was a significantly reduced program and only a total of 19,000 visitors could be welcomed. "While we had to limit ourselves even more last year with the obligation to wear masks and seats, we were able to look at the beaming faces of our guests at the anniversary arena and watch them dancing and chatting," said the organizers of this year's edition.
