Erfurt (dpa/th) - Thuringian families with little money should also get a holiday from the state in the coming year. In the recently approved budget for 2023, around 2.2 million euros are earmarked for this, as the Thuringian Left Group announced on Monday. This is intended to replace an expiring federal program that was launched during the corona pandemic.
Reason for the continuation of such a program are the increased prices and the high costs for energy, for example. "It is important that families have time for each other, even in times like these," said family policy spokeswoman for the Thuringian Left Group, Cordula Eger.
It is planned that the families could take a break within Thuringia. The funding from the state should be accessed directly by the holiday provider.
