Nordhausen (dpa/th) - A 31-year-old man hit his girlfriend during an argument in Nordhausen and kicked her in the head. The 27-year-old was slightly injured but refused treatment in the hospital, the police said on Sunday. The couple got into an argument on Saturday night. A witness alerted the police. When the 31-year-old was checked, it turned out that he had an arrest warrant for an unpaid fine. He was provisionally arrested. He was later able to leave the police station because his mother paid the outstanding amount.
