Thuringia: Man calls the police and then has to go to prison himself

Erfurt (dpa/th) - A 25-year-old called the police in Erfurt for help and ended up in prison himself. The man had alerted the officials in the Erfurt district of Krampfervorstadt on Friday evening because of a disturbance, the police said on Saturday. Police said they managed to calm the situation down. However, the officials found on the occasion that there was an arrest warrant against the 25-year-old and that he had to serve a prison sentence. He was taken to a correctional facility.
