Thuringia: man is said to have violated a pony mare: investigations

Lauscha (dpa/th) - The police are investigating an 81-year-old who is said to have violated a pony mare in Lauscha (Sonneberg district). A member of an equestrian farm caught the man in a stable on Monday evening, the police said on Tuesday. The suspect was questioned by several witnesses and handed over to the police. He was slightly injured - either in the escape or the ensuing scramble. It was initially not known to what extent the pregnant mare had been injured by the sexual acts. Damage to the unborn foal could not be ruled out. Video recordings would also be evaluated during the investigation, it said.
