Thuringia: Ministry is examining the elimination of the corona isolation obligation

Erfurt (dpa/th) - After the decision by four federal states to abolish the obligation to isolate for people infected with corona, Thuringia is also examining whether it will be abolished. The assessment of the situation within the ministry is still ongoing, said a ministry spokeswoman on Friday. A decision on the omission or retention is expected to be made next Monday. The federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse and Schleswig-Holstein have agreed to abolish the obligation to isolate people infected with the corona virus. According to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Health, new regulations will come into force "soon".

The Thuringian Ministry of Health had just announced the extension of the current Corona state regulations until December 23rd. So far, the obligation to separate infected people has been regulated there. This can end at the earliest five days after the first positive test – provided the infected people are symptom-free for at least 48 hours.
