Thuringia: moped driver seriously injured in collision with deer

Dingelstädt (dpa/th) - A 61-year-old moped driver was seriously injured in a collision with a deer in the Eichsfeld district. The man collided with the animal late Wednesday evening on the country road between Wachtedt and Dingelstädt, the police said on Thursday. The motorcyclist fell and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The deer, which was also injured, reportedly had to be relieved of its suffering with a shot.
