Thuringia: motorcycle crashes into parked cars

Eisenach (dpa/th) - A 45-year-old motorcyclist fell off his machine on federal highway 19 in the direction of Eisenach, damaging several cars parked on the road. According to police, the front wheel of the motorcycle lifted off the road on Wednesday for reasons that are not yet clear, causing the rider to fall off his motorcycle. As a result of the collision with the cars, both the motorcycle and a car caught fire. According to the police, the damage caused was 32,000 euros. The 45-year-old suffered minor injuries. The federal highway 19 was completely blocked for several hours.
