Jena (dpa/th) - Böttcher AG, an online retailer for office supplies, wants to send up to 120,000 packages per day from its new company headquarters in Jena-Zöllnitz. According to the company, the office and logistics complex was built in less than two years with investments of around 100 million euros.
The new building with 90,000 square meters of logistics space accommodates, among other things, a fully automated high-bay warehouse with storage space for up to 30,000 pallets, the company announced on Friday at the opening of the new company location.
Together with the previous and still existing location in Jena-Lobeda, Böttcher AG is now able to send up to 150,000 packages a day. According to the company, it employs 680 people and most recently achieved annual sales of 580 million euros.
