Erfurt/Leipzig (dpa/th) - The end of permafrost brings the risk of black ice on Monday and a lot of rain in Thuringia over the course of the week. The German Weather Service (DWD) announced that it would be up to seven degrees at the start of the week. It gets wet - rain on still frozen ground leads to the risk of black ice. In addition, stormy gusts are to be expected locally. In the night to Tuesday the rain pulls away and it loosens up. With low temperatures of minus one degree, local ice can still be expected.

Temperatures will climb to nine degrees on Tuesday, it will remain windy and it can get wet at times. Heavy clouds gather at night. Moderate to strong winds with lows of zero degrees.

Up to ten degrees are possible on Wednesday. It will remain cloudy and windy. It can get stormy in mountainous areas. At around two degrees, it will remain wet and sometimes stormy until Thursday.
