Sömmerda (dpa/th) - Several school children were injured in a traffic accident in the Sömmerda district. On Thursday morning, a car drove into the school bus in Buttstädt that was carrying the children and young people, the police said on Friday. A 24-year-old driver noticed too late that the bus had to stop at a pedestrian crossing and drove up.
Six children between the ages of 11 and 17 were slightly injured. The damage was estimated at around 12,000 euros. The pickup truck had to be towed away, police said.
