Saalburg (dpa/th) - Three weeks after an explosion before the start of the "SonneMondStars" techno festival, a seriously injured festival visitor died. The 26-year-old succumbed to his severe burn injuries, the police said on Wednesday. A so-called death investigation has been initiated.
On August 10, before the official start of the music festival, a gas cartridge exploded on one of the campsites at the Bleiloch reservoir. According to the police at the time, the 26-year-old wanted to change the cartridge in a tent, and there was a deflagration. The man had been flown to a special clinic by rescue helicopter. Another man was slightly injured.
