Erfurt (dpa/th) - First fog, then sun: people in Thuringia can look forward to a mostly friendly start to the new week. However, Monday morning is still dominated by dense fields of fog, some of which ensure visibility of less than 150 meters, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in the morning. In the midday hours the fog gradually clears and the sun comes out. Depending on the sunshine, the maximum temperatures are between 6 and 13 degrees.
Tuesday night will remain clear with isolated fog formation. A weak southerly wind ensures low temperatures of up to 2 degrees. Fresh gusts of wind may occur at higher altitudes. Tuesday also starts off friendly. Clouds are not expected to appear until the afternoon, especially in the western parts of the country. A high of up to 14 degrees in the mountains and up to 10 degrees in the rest of the country is expected.
