Nordhausen (dpa/th) - After a fire in an apartment building in Nordhausen, the police temporarily arrested a 43-year-old man. The man was slightly injured by smoke gases in the fire on Thursday, the police said on Friday. He was arrested at the scene as a suspect. Firefighters evacuated 10 people from the home during the fire. Four apartments were so damaged by smoke gases that they are not habitable for the time being. Other people were not injured. According to the police, the property damage is in the five-digit range.
