Thuringia: Three-year-old girl died after an accident in Unstrut

Mühlhausen (dpa/th) - A three-year-old girl died in the hospital after an incident in the Unstrut in Mühlhausen despite resuscitation. How and why the child got into the river on Monday evening is not yet clear, according to police information from Tuesday. According to this, the girl went to the river at around 7.30 p.m. with several children and accompanied by adults on the playground to feed the ducks. After that it was missed. She was found on the banks of the Unstrut just a few minutes after the search began. Witnesses saw the girl floating lifeless in the water and immediately initiated resuscitation measures, the police said, adding: "Currently, a tragic accident is assumed."
