Thuringia: Thuringian Literature Days expect up to 1200 interested people

Ranis (dpa/th) - The Thuringian Literature Days are waiting for this year's anniversary edition with well-known artists. According to the organizers, the festival, which was to open on Thursday evening at Ranis Castle (Saale-Orla district), will feature German-language contemporary authors Volker Braun, Marica Bodrožić and Nancy Hünger, as well as actress Anna Thalbach.

Until Sunday evening, 18 events in Rani are dedicated to questions about "Turning to the world". The program includes readings, concerts, poetry slams, as well as film and dance performances, as the association has announced. Up to 1200 visitors are expected in Ranis. A supporting program will also offer further readings in Gera, Jena and Nordhausen, among others, until August.

The Thuringian Literature Days have shaped the cultural landscape in Thuringia for 25 years. After two digital editions, the festival is now back in presence and once again enables on-site encounters and exchange for artists and those interested in culture.
