Thuringia: truck slides down slope: driver seriously injured

Eisfeld (dpa/th) - A winter service vehicle crashed near Eisfeld (Hildburghausen district), the driver was seriously injured. The truck came off the road in a curve between Waffenrod and Einsiedel on Saturday evening and slid down a slope, as the police situation service announced on Sunday. The driver was injured "seriously but not life-threateningly," a police spokesman said. There was damage of around 120,000 euros because it was an expensive special vehicle. It was initially unclear why the car left the road. "Investigations are ongoing," it said.
