Thuringia: Two children collide on a bike with a car: escape

Gera (dpa/th) - Two children collided with a car in Gera and fled. According to police, the two raced down a mountain on Sunday afternoon, collided with the car traveling on the road and were thrown over the hood. A child hit his head on the windscreen, causing it to shatter. The "most likely" injured children then fled, according to a statement from the Gera State Police Inspectorate. The 45-year-old driver escaped with a fright. The children are estimated to be seven years old.

Neither a larger police force nor a tracking dog that was also used could track down the children. Even in the evening, until around 9.30 p.m., they could not be found, as a police spokesman said on request. Witnesses who can provide information about you and the accident are asked to contact the Gera police on 0365/829-0.
