Weimar (dpa/th) - After almost eight and a half years of vacancy, life is returning to the historic town hall in Weimar. After extensive renovation work, the neo-Gothic building on the west side of the market square will again be the seat of the mayor, the city administration announced on Wednesday.
Several offices will move with the mayor this week. Starting next Tuesday, the historic town hall will be open for regular service. The former Wilhelm-Ernst-Gymnasium, which was temporarily used as an interim town hall, will continue to be used by the city administration.
