Thuringia: Young women seriously injured in a car accident

Roßdorf (dpa/th) - Two young women were seriously injured in a traffic accident on Landesstraße 1026 in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district on Sunday. According to the police, an 18-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle between Rosa and Roßdorf. The car first crashed into a guardrail, then spun across the entire width of the road into an embankment and finally came to a stop in the middle of the road. The 18 and 20-year-old passengers were seriously injured. The driver reportedly suffered only minor injuries.
