Trouble about film rights: Sly Stallone is rushing against "Rocky" producers

The "Rocky" films mark a milestone in Sylvester Stallone's career. However, for him the series could have been even bigger if it weren't for Irwin Winkler, producer of the films and a spin-off. Sly is now quite openly picking a bone with him.

Sylvester "Sly" Stallone can't contain his anger. The actor and screenwriter is best known for his "Rocky" films. Stallone not only starred in it, but also invented the character and wrote the story. However, the producer of the series and the "Creed" spin-offs is the Hollywood mogul Irwin Winkler - with whom Stallone has a serious word to talk.

On Instagram, the 76-year-old shared a cartoon in which Winkler can be seen with the body of a snake and a sword for a tongue. "A most flattering portrayal of the great 'Rocky'/'Creed' producer Irwin Winkler," Stallone captioned his post before hitting out at Winkler. "By the way, having controlled Rocky for 47 years and now Creed, I'd really like to have at least a little bit of what's left of my rights back before you just pass it on to your kids," he said "Rocky" actor.

This topic is "painful" for the Hollywood star - it would "eat his soul," said Stallone. He really wanted to be able to pass on part of "Rocky" to his children.

Just hours before he made his post, Stallone had already delivered a dig at Winkler's son, David Winkler. He shared a review of Winkler's book, The Arrangement: A Love Story, calling the biography "by far the worst" thing he's ever read. In his tirade against David Winkler, Stallone also stated that if it weren't for Irwin Winkler, "there would have been at least three other 'Rockys'". He described Winkler and his followers as "the worst, most inhuman creatures I have ever met in the film industry".
