Two California School students rescued after Becoming stranded on Ship Made from buckets, kiddie pools

Authorities noted that the students were not any engineering majors and alcohol wasn't a factor.

Two man college pupils were fortunate the California shore early Saturday when they had been not able to come back to shore into their makeshift boat, that had been created with buckets, duct tape and 2 kiddie pools.

The county fire department was alerted around 2 thirds about boaters from the water having problems getting into coast. Rescue crews from Isla Vista were discharged and paddled into the ship.

He wasn't certain if the group had been pupils, that are in their 20s, in the university. Due to the wave, the watercraft was not able to return into shore as it kept getting pushed back out to sea,'' he explained.

Both pupils were found and alcohol wasn't a factor, '' he said.

"When it had been a time on a Saturday, nobody could have coped," Eliason said, adding that the overdue rescue might have place rescue crews in an unnecessary risk. "It is was actually a scratch-your-head moment."

The pair wasn't mentioned.
