United States. "Repeat that line": Joe Biden's gaffe reading his teleprompter

This was a small mistake that was not overlooked. On Friday night, Joe Biden, the United States President, gave a hard speech at the White House about abortion rights. He would have spoken aloud a teleprompter instruction in the middle, however.

In a clip that was broadcast via social media, the American president ends a sentence by saying "end of quote" (or "end of the quote") in French. Next, repeat the sentence to emphasize the phrase.

This sequence was especially mocked by social media. Many netizens, such as billionaire Elon Musk have made a comparison between Joe Biden and Ron Burgundy (a troublemaker TV presenter), in one of the comedic Anchorman films. One scene shows the character reading aloud all the text on the teleprompter.

His Republican Party rivals mocked the 79-year old US president, and once again raised questions about his health.

Emilie Simons was the White House spokesperson's assistant and tweeted that Joe Biden had said: "Let us repeat the line" to emphasize his point. Le Figaro reported that the full speech script, which was published by the teams, includes this phrase.

Joe Biden, Bourde or not would not be the first to make a mistake. For example, last March, he mistook the Ukrainian people for the Iranian people in full-speech.
