In the trial of former US film producer Harvey Weinstein, it is now the turn of the jury. The jury began deliberating Friday in Los Angeles on the verdict that could see one of Hollywood's most powerful men face a life sentence. In her closing argument on Thursday, prosecutor Marlene Martinez asked the jury to "put an end to the defendant's reign of terror."

Weinstein is charged in the trial with alleged sexual assaults on five women between 2004 and 2013 at hotels in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. The once celebrated producer of hit films such as "Pulp Fiction" and "Shakespeare in Love" is charged with sexual violence, forced oral sex and rape, among other things. For his part, the 70-year-old has denied all allegations.

If found guilty, Weinstein faces more than 100 years in prison. Two years ago, the former film producer was sentenced to 23 years in prison in another trial by a court in New York for rape and serious sexual assault.
