Biden will wear a mask for an additional 10 days when he's around other people, his doctor said, and will continue to get tested regularly for the virus in case there's a "rebound" effect -- one again positive test that may occur during treatment with Paxlovid.

Biden no longer has a fever, his symptoms have steadily improved and are now "almost completely gone," the doctor said.

Biden, 79, is fully vaccinated against the coronavirus and boosted twice. He is the oldest president the United States has ever had. A medical examination last November found him to be "robust" and "fit" for the job.
