A mix of techno music and an abbey, it's a surprise combination. This was the event that took place at Boscodon Abbey in the Hautes-Alpes on Thursday, July 7, with DJ Kermite on the decks. The experiment was part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the building's 12th-century Romanesque revival. It involved creating a link between electronic music, spirituality and the use of technology. It is not easy to break the codes, so this evening was very limited. Both from the side of the faithful as well as those who follow the music style. According to Elsa Fortant who is currently completing a doctoral in musicology, spirituality can be a common ground between them. "In a rave the dancers are connected with repetitive music. A trance state can be created by dancing. These moments can be experienced as meditation by some. A common theme is that techno can benefit from the resonance of abbey churches.
