The Russian authorities are building in the Kursk and Rostov-on-Don regions, both bordering Ukraine, morgues of more than 4,000 square meters to deposit soldiers who die at the front, Ukrainian military intelligence said today.

"The construction of these complexes on the territory of Moscow confirms that the Putin regime sends its occupation army to a production line of death but cannot cope with the flow of dead," the Defense Ministry's Intelligence Directorate said. of Ukraine (GUR) in a statement.

According to the GUR, these giant morgues are equipped with refrigeration chambers with a capacity for a thousand corpses. In the facilities there would also be spaces to store coffins and watch over the dead.

"The estimated cost of building one of these complexes for dead occupants is 600 million rubles (about seven million euros at current exchange rates) in Rostov-on-Don and more than 800 million rubles (more than 9 million euros) in Kursk," says the GUR.

According to Ukrainian military intelligence, the cold rooms in each of these morgues cost "more than a billion rubles" (about 11.5 million euros).

"Terrorist Russia is no longer capable of hiding the magnitude of the casualties of personnel in the war against Ukraine," the statement concludes, recalling that "all Russian soldiers who have not committed war crimes can surrender" surrendering to Ukraine.

"Otherwise, a refrigerated chamber awaits them," says the text from kyiv's military intelligence.
