The rainfall that occurred between Friday and Saturday in the region of Pamplona (Navarra) has equaled everything that climatologically accumulates on average in the months of September and October, and has been more than half of all the autumn rainfall .
Once again, there have been heavy or very strong rainfalls and in the case of the town of Irurtzun, 30 millimeters have been reached in one hour during the early hours of the morning, reports the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
The most active cells have discharged in areas such as Tierra Estella and Sakana. The intense hail that fell in the area of Fitero, Corella and Cintruénigo this morning has caused large accumulations of hail in the streets of these towns and the excavators are working to clear the roads, the Foral Police have indicated.
Aemet Navarra has activated the alert for accumulation of precipitation and storms, which may be accompanied by hail and very strong gusts of wind, from 2:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. this Sunday.
