When Sir Rod Stewart appears: Prince George surprises with a song

Is George a little party prince? Prince William's eight-year-old son demonstrates his entertaining qualities at the Queen's platinum anniversary concert. Apparently his singing skills leave nothing to be desired.

Prince William and Duchess Kate's son was apparently in a celebratory mood on Saturday night. He attended Queen Elizabeth II's platinum jubilee concert with his parents and sister, Princess Charlotte. Sir Rod Stewart was on the stage at the anniversary celebrations at Buckingham Palace.

The fact that George had previously made a surprising appearance in Cardiff with his parents and sister was apparently not noticeable to the little royal. Here the whole family met the team behind the concert at Cardiff Castle. "We had a very special drumming demonstration for George and Charlotte, saw a stunning performance by the Wales Youth Choir for Good and had a taste of how tonight's show will come together!" Prince William posted on Instagram.

In pictures from the evening's event, he could be seen laughing and joking with his father in the Royal Box. In addition to the Cambridge family, many other high-ranking royals such as Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, Zara and Mike Tindall as well as Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice attended the concert with their husbands.

Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, who were in Northern Ireland on Saturday, watched along with their children Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn as stars such as Alicia Keys, Duran Duran and Craig David performed. Princess Anne and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence were also there. The Queen's eldest grandchild, Peter Phillips, brought his daughters Savannah and Isla to celebrate.

Prince Harry and his wife Duchess Meghan were apparently not at the concert. According to the "Daily Mail" they are said to have watched the event in Windsor with the Queen on television. The Queen herself was not there, but opened the party for her platinum throne jubilee - together with another British icon: Paddington Bear. The Queen showcased her comedic and acting talents in a pre-taped skit that was reportedly aired for attendees at the Buckingham Palace concert in London.
