After firing on another man, a man is now firmly ensconced at his Saint-Valerien home (Yonne) since Friday morning. "The GIGN intervention force arrived on the scene in mid-morning," stated the prefecture in a press statement, but it is not clear if the man was shot.
Sources close to the matter say that the man would have died.
At 8:50 AM, gunshots were heard in Saint-Valerien. A resident nearby said that he heard four shots. At the height of the intervention, 80 gendarmes and police officers were deployed.
