As reported this Saturday by the National Police, the stalker has been arrested in just two weeks thanks to international police collaboration, since the investigation has had the collaboration of the Colombian National Police and the Spanish Ministry of the Interior in that country. .

Specifically, the investigation began after the complaint in Colombia by the mother of the minor, just eight years old, in which she reported that her daughter had been sexually harassed by an adult who had blackmailed her to obtain images of a sexual nature. of the girl in exchange for rewards in a mobile game.

Following this complaint, the Ministry of the Interior at the Spanish Embassy in Colombia forwarded the investigation to the members of the Central Cybercrime Unit of the National Police, as there were indications that the perpetrator was in Spain.

The investigators found that the initial contact of the "groomer" (as bullies are called on social networks) with the minor occurred through the chat enabled in a game for mobile phones.

Once the conversation began by this means, the adult requested the minor's phone number to speak with her through an instant messaging application through which he could make video calls and exchange files of a sexual nature.

When the agents carried out the investigation efforts, they found out that the man lived at a home in the city of Zaragoza, where he was arrested and where they found a multitude of electronic devices in which the files of a sexual nature sent by the minor were found, " thus avoiding their possible distribution," the National Police said.
