The German green energy promotion under the German Renewable energies act (EEG) costs this year, probably as much as never before. The four network operators Amprion, Tennet, 50Hertz and TransnetBW said on Tuesday, coming in July for approximately € 2.8 billion to the operators of EEG-funded Wind, Solar and biomass plants. The expenditure was again significantly higher than the revenue in the amount of 1.9 billion euros. The resulting shortfall on the so-called EEG account thus rose by a further EUR 0.9 billion now to 2 billion euros.
