Whether delivery service for organic food boxes, the maturation of organic cheese in a special cellar or the Development of stables on Eco-farms: The nine years ago, founded "citizens of AG for regional and sustainable management" has engaged in the meantime in 14 agricultural projects in the Rhine-Main area. Now the joint-stock company with seat in Frankfurt wants to get with a capital increase of "fresh money"– with the help of other investors. Currently, there are precisely 247, the business capital of 863.000 Euro. Until the end of October it is hoped now, new shareholders, a further 300,000 Euro to strengthen sustainable regional food producers acquire.
"The people today want to know much more precisely where the food comes from," says speaker of the Board, Joerg Weber, and is optimistic that the planned capital increase will easily go on the stage. In the first days since 1.July may be issued, the new shares – 46 have been assigned. Of the existing shareholders, the company has concerned previously EUR 100,000. Overall, the citizens of AG wants to manage in the future, a total volume of 1.7 million euros. In addition to the silent participations for the ongoing projects in the amount of 700,000 euros, the company manages another 500,000 euros on behalf of third parties. In the case of projects with lending banks will cooperate.
Reliable debtors
among the largest investments the support of the Bio-Gemüsehofs Steinfurth (Querbeet) 100,000 euros for the purchase of a farm.
