Due to security law: Hong Kong's authorities, textbooks check

The Chinese security law for Hong Kong is already on the schools in the financial capital: On Monday, Hong Kong's education authorities, and teachers instructed to remove all books and other educational materials from the lessons, which could be in breach of the controversial law. The request was made two days after several of the libraries had announced, on the basis of the security act, the books of well-known democracy activists removed from the shelves.

books and other teaching materials should not violate the safety act defined "security crimes," decomposition, separation, terrorism or conspiracy with foreign forces, said the Hong Kong education Bureau. Teaching materials, which were in conflict with the law, "should be removed," it said further.

The new Chinese security law for Hong Kong was entered on Tuesday in effect. On its basis, Beijing may take action in the future against all of the activities in Hong Kong, which it considers to be subversive, separatist, terrorist, or conspiracy with foreign forces.
