Strong sales of Playstation Games bring Sony well so far by the Corona-crisis - but the Japanese electronics giant is already on a decline in profits in the current fiscal year. Among other things, Sony expects a weaker business in its camera Sensors. They come in Smartphones from many manufacturers, the mobile phone market is currently under pressure.
In the last quarter of the Playstation business was able to absorb the declines in other areas very well. The net profit rose in the end of June closed the first quarter in year-on-year by 53.3 per cent to amounted to 233.2 billion Yen (1.9 billion Euro). Sales rose 2.2 percent to 1.97 trillion Yen.
In the games section of the sales jumped up by almost a third to 606 billion Yen.
