The state Chancellery of Saxony-Anhalt announced in Magdeburg. The law must now be ratified by the state parliaments before it can enter into force. The contract provides for an increase in the broadcasting contribution to 86 cents on 18,36 euros per month from January 2021 onwards.

The countries ' leaders had agreed in March to follow up on the recommendation of the Commission for determining the financial needs of broadcasters (Kef).
