The Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart is the largest building of the national gallery and collections of contemporary art, which are among the world's most important publicly shown collections.
The property is now with the Bundesanstalt für immobilienaufgaben (BImA) bought. Subsequently, the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz, the Staatliche Museen to rent, the Hamburger Bahnhof.
The negotiations between the Federal government and the private Investor, CA Immo had acquired the entire property, close to the main railway station some time ago, "are on a good path," it said.
