SkyShowtime already has a launch date in Spain. This new streaming platform will be available from February 28. The price of the subscription will be 5.99 euros per month, although a limited time offer will allow users to enjoy their catalog at half price for life, for only 2.99 euros per month.
The company has shared details of its catalogue, which will bring together productions and content from Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount, Showtime, Sky Studios and Peacock. Its website promises "the best entertainment programming, with exclusive series and movies for all audiences."
Bosé is one of the star titles at the launch of SkyShowtime. It is a 'biopic' about the life of Miguel Bosé, played by José Pastor (Acacias 38) and Iván Sánchez (Central Hospital). This series will be available from March 3.
Another of the Spanish-language productions on the streaming platform is Los Enviados, with Luis Gerardo Méndez (Narcos: Mexico), Miguel Ángel Silvestre (Velvet), Irene Azuela (Sense8) and Miguel Rodarte (Narcos: Mexico).
Yellowstone, the drama starring Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves) and which has already reached its fifth season, is one of the company's big bets. This will also offer its prequels 1883 and 1923.
SkyShowtime will bring Halo, a series based on the famous video game saga and one of the most pirated of 2022. In Spain it could only be seen legally by buying it in physical format.
Other fictions that will be in his catalog are A Friend of the Family, American Gigolo, Funny Woman, Let The Right One In, Mayor of Kingstown, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Souls, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, The Calling, The Fear Index, The Great Game, The Midwich Cuckoos, The Offer, The Rising, The Undeclared War, Tulsa King and Vampire Academy. It will also feature seasons 21 and 22 of Law & Order.
In addition, the company will be the new home for 21 HBO Max original series in Europe. Among them are the Spanish Foodie Love, Todo lo otro, Sin Novedad and Por H o Por B, which will launch its second season under the SkyShowtime Original label.
The platform is also announcing future releases coming in the coming months, including series like A Town Called Malice, Fatal Attraction, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Lioness, and Rabbit Hole.
